Old Skools embody classic Vans style. It was the first model to display the iconic and unmistakable sidestripe - dubbed the “jazz stripe” back then. Today Vans Vault revisits the OG style and it takes a crafty tactile approach with the UA Old Skool VR3 PW LX. Uppers are totally deconstructed and patchworked back together, mixing denim, leather and canvas with a slice of the legendary checkerboard print - which first came about when Steve Van Doren, son of founder Paul, noticed that teen skaters were colouring the midsole of their shoes to create a checkerboard effect.
